If you have really scatched your eye, you need to get to eye doctor ASAP. You can get an infection in your eye that can destroy your vision. I would definately review the way that you are cleaning & replacing your contacts. I have worn contacts for 30+ yrs and have never had that much problem with dirt on the lens.
Very good plan. Get some lubricating drops and put them in your eyes a couple times a day. If your vision is ok, with no blurring, and the whites of your eyes are not red when you wake up in the morning, and if you have no drainage from your eyes, you should be ok.
If you have any of those symptoms, though, you should go see your eye doctor to make sure you don't have an infection. You may want to start drying your hands with a towel that doesn't have such a fluffy nap, like one of those kitchen linen towels, before you insert or remove your contacts.
