Any one know if there is any relation between green tea and peptic ulcer?

i used to drink green tea for about 3 month, more than 5 times a day. one day i had sever pain in my stomach and the doctor said that i have gastritis (inflammation in stomach). can it be related to that green tea?Any one know if there is any relation between green tea and peptic ulcer?
Manuel Brenes and colleagues cite past studies showing that green tea, cranberry juice and certain other natural foods inhibit the growth of H. pylori (which infects the stomach lining and is considered the main cause of peptic ulcer).
Leading researchers to recommend consumption of those foods.
what's ur type of diet?....do u take any regular medications?...this has to be fulfilled before thinking of grean tea
A peptic ulcer is an open sore on the lining of the lower esophagus or fundus of the stomach. This along with the gastritis makes me doubt the the green tea is the culprit. I'm sure that your MD has given you a VERY long list of what not to eat. Follow it religiously. Get the rest that he told you to. Try to reduce the amount of stress that you have in your life. Exercise as you are able and slowly increase it. If you must drink your green tea, at least go for a decaffeinated variety. Good luck.
