About tongues ?

if someone got his tongue cut, does it grow again?
im not joking some teacher was telling this to her students...so is it true???About tongues ?
the tissue of the tongue does regenerate, but I doubt that if you cut your tongue, it would grow back to normal size. It might grow back to a reasonable size.
it does not grow at all!
it may just recover the scar...
in fact no tissue in our body can regenerate like that. except inner tissues like in digestive system or muscular and bones.
